Best travel deal sites in 2021

The government advises that people should still avoid foreign travel at the moment, but there’s nothing stopping you from soothing those itchy feet by planning an awesome trip for 2022 or late 2021! 

There are so many travel sites out there - from traditional travel agents to dynamic packaging sites (where the company search for flights and hotels separately, then put them together for you to pay in one place).

We've got a keen case of wanderlust here at Ocean, but as with anything, we like to keep the costs down. These are our top travel deal sites:

HolidayPirates

No matter where it is you’re flying from, Holidaypirates will hand-pick you the most affordable package holidays on the market.

You can search by inputting the destination, the dates you’d like to travel and the kind of holiday you’d like it to be (all-inclusive, beach, activity etc). Once you’ve done that, Secret Escapes will let you know the cheapest options available to you. Since the coronavirus pandemic, they now also have a section specifically for refundable stays.

Travelzoo

With Travelzoo you’ll find deals on hotels, flights, holidays, cruises, entertainment, spas and restaurants.

Travelzoo is unrivalled in finding the most affordable breaks in the UK, which is perfect for those who’d rather not travel abroad until next year. Most of their deals are packaged up with lovely little extras like dinner, a bottle of wine in the room or breakfast included.

For example, they’re currently offering a fully refundable voucher for an overnight getaway in historic Bath, including afternoon tea and Prosecco for two, for just £89 - with dates into 2022.

Skyscanner is a brilliant tool for finding cheap flights. All you need to do is input where you’re flying from and to, the dates you wish to travel, which cabin class you’d prefer and how many people will be travelling. Once you’ve done this, Skyscanner will give you a list of options that best match your search - an easy way to find the cheapest option.

The best thing about Skyscanner is its search 'Everywhere' feature. If you’re not sure where you’d like to go, this feature will provide you with the cheapest destinations listed within the past eight days.

Wowcher

At Wowcher, they pride themselves on offering the ‘hottest’ deals on the market, including discounted travel deals.They have an entire page dedicated to Staycations, offering up-to-date, affordable deals on breaks across the country.

Hotelscombined

Hotelscombined is a comparison site for hotels. As you would on any hotel search, input your travel dates and destination - the site will then show you the price at multiple online travel agents (including all the big names like Expedia, Hotels.com and Booking.com). Making it super easy to ensure you're getting the best price on the market!

OnTheBeach

OnTheBeach offers you the chance to book cheap holidays with deposits starting from £30 per person. They also offer flexible payment plans where you can spread the cost of your holiday over multiple weeks, up until four weeks before you’re due to fly. As the name suggests, they specialise in beach breaks, so if you want to get something booked for next year but spread the cost - this is the site for you.

Great Little Breaks
